Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are the main differences between leading hand sanitizers and Purmist?

A: Purmist dries in seconds, does not contain toxins, does not kill or damage skin cells but instead promotes healthy skin and naturally moisturizes hands with essential oils that leave no sticky residue or film.

Q: Is Purmist safe to use around food or applying before eating?

A: YES. As well, unlike some other hand sanitizers, there is no risk of illness or intoxication for either children or adults if they lick their fingers after applying Purmist.

Q: Why do children 5 and under require parental guidance when using Purmist?

A: Children in this age group are susceptible to allergic reactions from new experiences. Due to the natural essential oils involved with Purmist, children should be supervised in rare case an allergic reaction occurs. This is simply a precaution, as to date there have been no reports of any allergic reactions in children related to use of a Purmist product.

Q: Is Purmist manufactured with peanuts, peanut by-products or in a facility which manufactures peanuts or peanut products?

A: NO. The makers of Purmist, MKR International Inc., takes the potential for allergic reaction very seriously and specifically chose a manufacturing location which has no involvement at all with peanuts or any peanut-related products.

Q: I'm diabetic, will Purmist interfere with my blood sugar levels or insulin when applied to the skin?

A: Not at all. We have tested for these types of reactions due to the severity of the diabetic condition and are pleased to report there is no affect on blood sugar whatsoever.
